Award Nomination - Outstanding New Emergency Management ProfessionalPurpose: To recognize a new emergency management professional who has demonstrated exceptional initiative, enthusiasm, and meaningful contributions to their local emergency management program within their first two years in the field. Eligibility: Be a KEMA member in good standing and have 24 months or less of professional experience in emergency management at the time of the annual conference. Criteria for Consideration: Nominees should demonstrate excellence in one or more of the following areas: Early Impact: Has already made tangible improvements or achievements in their emergency management role that benefit their organization or community. Initiative and Innovation: Shows a willingness to take initiative, offer creative solutions, and seek opportunities to improve processes, plans, or preparedness efforts. Professional Enthusiasm: Demonstrates passion for the field through a strong work ethic, eagerness to learn, and engagement with colleagues, training, or events.Commitment to Growth: Actively seeks professional development opportunities, mentorship, or certifications to grow in the profession. Collaboration and Teamwork: Contributes positively to teams, builds relationships, and supports coordination with partners and stakeholders.
