Award Nomination - Outstanding Emergency Management Support Professional

Purpose: To recognize an individual whose behind-the-scenes efforts and dedication play a vital role in the success of an emergency management organization. This award honors those who go above and beyond routine responsibilities to ensure effective preparedness, response, and coordination.

Eligibility: Nominees can be any support staff, volunteer, contractor, or partner who:

  • Does not serve as the lead emergency manager but plays an essential supporting role.
  • Consistently demonstrates excellence and commitment beyond their assigned duties.

Criteria for Consideration: Nominees should exhibit distinction in one or more of the following areas:

Exceptional Support Role Performance: Delivers outstanding contributions in a support role that significantly impacts operations or outcomes.

Above-and-Beyond Service: Regularly exceeds expectations, takes initiative, and exceeds their job description to help the team succeed.

Reliability and Dedication: A dependable team member who consistently commits to the mission and values of emergency management.

Problem Solving and Initiative: Demonstrates resourcefulness, adaptability, or innovation in addressing challenges or improving systems.

Team Collaboration and Attitude: Positively influences team morale, supports colleagues, and promotes a strong, cooperative environment.

Selection Committee: KEMA Board and Awards Chair

Can be nominated by any regular or life KEMA member in good standing.

2025 award nominations for the activity period of August 2024-June 2025 must be submitted online by 5:00 pm on July 4, 2025.
