The Kansas Emergency Management Association (KEMA)
represents its members who make up the professional Emergency Management
community of Kansas.

Mission:Kansas Emergency Management Association is a network of leaders dedicated
to providing excellence in emergency management for Kansas.
Goals:To fulfill its mission the Kansas Emergency Management Association will
strive:
To
advance the professional growth of members through the development,
provision, and promotion of
training and professional standards.
To
provide recognition for excellence in emergency management.
To
provide opportunities for exchanging ideas and sharing lessons learned from
emergency management activities.
To
address planning and procedural issues critical to all levels of emergency
management.
To
serve as an advisory body to the Kansas Division of Emergency Management
regarding emergency management issues.
To
influence public policy on emergency management through the legislative
process at the federal, state and local levels.
To
coordinate the efforts and plans of this association with other
organizations having common interests.
Professionalism:KEMA promotes excellence
Membership in the Kansas Emergency Management Association is $50 per
year (payment via Paypal has an additional cost of $3 for processing,
total cost being $53 for the year.) Payment by check is $50,
payable to the Kansas Emergency Management Association and payment via
Paypal is $53 (due to processing fee).
Members should complete the application and indicate on the form if
they paid via check (and include the check in the form submission to
Beth Reed) or indicate payment via Paypal and send the form to Beth Reed
for her to process. Membership becomes active on the receipt and
processing of application and payment.
Members may pay via paypal for their membership dues. The fee
includes a processing fee. The total cost for membership will
be $53 for a single membership, $105.00 for two memberships and $158 for
three memberships.
